Personal Care Specialist Career Opportunity

Vitality Living Stony Brook is seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and supporting their overall well-being.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing emotional support and companionship. You will also collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, a warm and caring demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations
  • Meet state or provincial health-related requirements
