Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Leader to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely provision of cost-effective drug therapy, providing educational programs for healthcare professionals, and supporting drug-related research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide high-quality patient care and optimize medication use.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Provide educational programs for healthcare professionals on medication use and management.
  • Support drug-related research and development of new treatments.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a pharmacy setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
