Job Title: Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator Apprentice

About the Role:

We are seeking a vibrant and outgoing Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator Apprentice to join our team at Lunds & Byerlys. As a Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator Apprentice, you will work closely with our Master Pastry Chef and Decorator to learn the art of creating sensational pastries, traditional cakes, special occasion cakes, and specialty items.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with a smile
  • Learn how to produce and merchandise pastries, traditional cakes, special occasion cakes, and specialty items
  • Learn how to decorate items such as cookies, pies, and cakes
  • Learn how to fulfill specialty orders for customers
  • Learn how to manage inventory
  • Assist bakery staff with other miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the department

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year or more decorating and baking experience desired
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
