Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our team at Synergy ECP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and sustainment of existing networks, ensuring seamless communication and data transmission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve routine network problems and perform troubleshooting using scripts and standard procedures.
  • Monitor data or voice system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues, and initiate resolution as appropriate.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance routines in accordance with standard procedures and identify issues or problems for resolution.
  • Activate/deactivate network lines according to established schedules and perform first- and/or second-level problem determination.
  • Interface with users and/or network vendors and follow detailed work instructions.
Requirements
  • Two (2) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
  • Associate's degree in engineering technology from an accredited college is required, or two (2) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.
  • Experience with installation and configuration of network devices, such as firewalls, switches, routers, cabling, Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper devices is a plus.
  • Experience supporting WAN technologies such as SONET (OC3, OC48, OC192), DS3, T1, etc.
  • IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD M is required at time of start.
  • Desired: CompTIA Network+, CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
