Job Description

Assembly Technician

As an Assembly Technician at Aerotek, you will be responsible for assembling machinery ranging from small to large-scale equipment. Your tasks will include using hand and power tools to mount motors, valves, shafts, elevators, and other components. You may also be required to paint and read blueprints to retrieve parts. Prior experience with print reading is preferred, but training will be provided. You will also learn to cut and thread piping using various machines, including sheer machines, pipe threaders, and band saws. Tack welding will be taught, and you will need to bring your own basic hand and power tools.

Work Environment

The work environment is a quiet assembly-style shop with no robotics involved. Each piece of machinery is custom-built one at a time, and the plant is clean and well-maintained. The work schedule is 1st shift only, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime if required. Compensation is $18-21/hour.
