Job Summary

Peraton is seeking a skilled Azure Architect Technical Lead to serve as a technical leader and mentor to the development and infrastructure teams. This role will ensure that all cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines for cloud adoption and migration
• Define the cloud strategy, architecture roadmap, and technical direction for cloud projects, aligning with business objectives and industry standards
• Provide technical oversight and architectural leadership across multiple cloud projects, ensuring consistency
• Design and implement Azure-based solutions leveraging services such as Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage
• Oversee the deployment of applications using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
• Ensure cloud solutions are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies based on requirements and cost considerations
• Serve as the technical lead for Azure projects, providing guidance to development, operations, and infrastructure teams
• Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a place of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Drive innovation by researching and recommending new cloud services and solutions that align with the organization's goals
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of cloud solutions
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues, ensuring minimal impact to the organization and driving root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience
• U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
• 7+ years of integration, systems analysis, or programming
• 5+ years of developing systems requirements and design specifications in Azure
• 3+ years of experience in project management/lead architect positions in Azure development or implementation
• Expertise in AZ PowerShell, GitLab, and Ansible
• Expert in leading and collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets
• Expert knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud and deploying in Government environments
