Position Overview
The Tripoint Medical Center Emergency Department is strategically located to provide exceptional critical care. Our facility features a compact yet effective setup of 29 beds, including adaptable monitored beds and specialized trauma and acute care rooms, dedicated to delivering a supportive atmosphere for patients in need.
Sign-On Bonus: $3000
Shift Details: Night Shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
Role Responsibilities
- Delivers safe and efficient nursing care tailored to patients and families, utilizing the nursing process to help them achieve and maintain optimal health.
- Implements the nursing process through effective, relationship-based care.
- Exhibits technical proficiency in care delivery, ensuring safe practices and positive patient outcomes.
- Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively to enhance patient care and clinical operations.
- Engages in professional development and contributes to the nursing practice.
- Demonstrates leadership that fosters optimal clinical and operational results.
Additional Duties
- Performs other assigned responsibilities.
- Adheres to all organizational policies and standards.
- For specific duties, refer to departmental documentation provided during orientation.
- Ensures compliance with regulations regarding the protection of patient health information (PHI).
Qualifications
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Participation in unit or hospital committees is required.
- Completion of three peer reviews is necessary.
- Evidence of five criteria is required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient understanding of nursing processes and practices.
- Ability to utilize various technical equipment to meet patient needs (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, electronic monitoring devices).
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Multi-State Compact License required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on clinical area standards.
- Nursing Specialty Certification required upon hire.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs).
- Occasional climbing and crawling.
- Constant communication and coordination skills required.
Travel Requirements
- 10% travel may be required.
