Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

  • Oversee comprehensive accounting processes, including bank reconciliations and month-end closing for various entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct general ledger analysis, manage fixed assets, and perform reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the accounting team and property association boards.

Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in Homeowners Association (HOA) or Property Management is required.
  • A CAM license is mandatory.
  • Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills are necessary.
