Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Psychologist to join our team at Soliant.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators to support student academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop tailored education plans (TEPs) and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students facing academic or emotional challenges.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Participate in special education evaluations and eligibility determinations.
  • Serve as a resource for staff on best practices in addressing students' mental health and behavioral needs.
  • Advocate for students' needs and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA.
  • Assist in developing positive behavior support strategies and programs for both individual students and the school as a whole.
  • Provide professional development for teachers and staff on mental health, learning disabilities, and effective intervention strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Education:
    • A master's degree or higher in Educational Psychology or School Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
    • Completion of a school psychology preparation program approved by the State Department of Education.
  2. Licensure:
    • An active State School Psychologist License is mandatory.
  3. Certification:
    • National certification through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) is preferred but not required.
  4. Experience:
    • Previous experience working as a school psychologist or in an educational setting is preferred but not mandatory for new graduates with appropriate training and internships.
  5. Skills and Competencies:
    • A strong understanding of psychological assessments and interventions.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
    • The ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
    • Crisis management and counseling experience are advantageous.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of data to inform educational decisions.
  6. Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
