Job Description:

As a Recreation Program Manager with the Montrose Recreation District, you will oversee various youth sports and programs. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure successful program execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up equipment and facilities for programs
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure safety
  • Coordinate staff, including scorekeepers, officials, and volunteers
  • Act as a point of contact for parents, spectators, players, and officials
  • Provide clean-up services after programs
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • General knowledge of assigned sport or program
  • Prior supervisory experience or program participation
  • Calm mediation and conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work evenings and weekends
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $16-$17 per hour. Additionally, employees receive free membership to the Community Rec Center after 30 days of hire.

Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, reading, and writing. Employees may occasionally need to lift/carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
