We offer a competitive salary for this role, with an estimated annual compensation ranging from $85,000 to $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
Estimate Preparation: As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for low and medium voltage industrial power distribution systems, including site visits and reviews of project plans and specifications.
Collaboration: You will work closely with sales teams to understand client requirements and with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy.
Data Analysis: You will analyze data from past projects, market trends, and industry standards to inform estimates.
Vendor Coordination: You will communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and bids.
Cost Tracking: You will prepare and present cost-tracking reports and forecasts at various project stages.
Documentation: You will maintain an up-to-date database with cost information on products, vendors, and subcontractors.
Risk Assessment: You will identify potential financial risks and assess cost-effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role, preferably in the power generation, construction or manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documents, strong analytical and mathematical skills, detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
