A Day in the Life of a Housekeeper at Sunrise

As a Housekeeper at Sunrise, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and inviting environment for our residents, families, and team members. Your primary responsibilities will include performing housekeeping and laundry duties, collecting and redistributing community laundry, and assisting Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned, meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promote Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations
- Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and Lockout Tagout procedures
- Participate as a member of a team and contribute to achieving team goals

Your Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment, meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision, following all community procedures and guidelines, and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative
