Medical Assistant II Physician Practice Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Physician Practice team at Franciscan Health. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in various outpatient settings, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting care in electronic medical records.
- Administer vaccines, injections, and medications, as well as perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing under the supervision of a RN/Provider.
- Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone, electronic messaging, and in-person.
- Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.
- High School Diploma/GED - Required
- Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting OR Associates in LPN - Required
- 1-year Medical Assisting or LPN experience - Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) - Required within 6 months of hire OR valid LPN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire
