- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours
The RN will be accountable to the Unit Director/Manager for the overall nursing practice during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN will report to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator. The role involves delivering professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which encompasses:
- Assessing patient needs
- Formulating a care plan to address those needs
- Implementing nursing interventions
- Evaluating the effectiveness of care and treatments
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to function effectively as a team member and act as a liaison between patients and staff.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with patients and their families.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
- Current NIHSS certification.
