Caregiver - Trinidad/Walsenburg/Cokedale

Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide personal care and companionship to our clients in the Trinidad, Walsenburg, and Cokedale areas. As a Caregiver with Visiting Angels, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provides personal care to the client, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provides walking assistance to the client and ensures their safety while on duty
- Provides continuous companionship for the client while on duty, engaging in activities and conversations to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Assists in meal planning, food purchasing, and food preparation, ensuring the client's nutritional needs are met
- Cleans the kitchen after meals and maintains a clean and healthy environment
- Observes the client's general physical, emotional, and mental conditions, and reports any changes to the client's family or healthcare provider
- Keeps accurate records of all activity while in the client's home
- Provides a sense of security for the client and protects them from any harm resulting from their illness or disability
- Minimum of one year of caregiving experience preferred, but not required
- Must have a strong sense of professionalism and be reliable
- Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
- Must have personal, reliable transportation to and from shifts
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must comply with all agency policies
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus
- Competitive pay rate of $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
