Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various equipment, including automobiles, trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and repair mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment, such as hydraulic lifts and precision measuring instruments, to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Work with senior technicians to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive or heavy vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience with computerized engine systems and related sensors troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC theory and electronic test equipment and devices.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and automotive shop theory and practice.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
  • Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturers' specifications, diagrams, and symbols.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. As a US citizen, you must be eligible for a Secret clearance.
