We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Nurse to join our team at Holy Cross Health. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with acute renal failure or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support outpatient hemodialysis on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver dialytic therapy to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), traumatic injury to the kidney, and chronic heart disease.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and social workers to support patients.
- Provide education to patients about their disease, diet, and medications.
- Conduct pre- and post-treatment physical assessments and document as required.
- Monitor patients' lab results and adjust dialysis medications as needed per physician order.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team activities for patient assessment and care planning.
- One or more years of current dialysis experience.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred).
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification and additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
