VetPride Services Inc. is looking for dedicated Shuttle Drivers to facilitate shuttle operations. Our organization provides essential transportation services for patients and staff, ensuring a smooth transit experience.

Location: Various locations within the VA Medical Center network.

Work Schedule: On-call, Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts available.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Health & Welfare Benefits: $4.57 per hour for benefits purchasing as per SCA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome passengers courteously upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist individuals with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers.
  • Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and driving regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow drivers to maintain a reliable transportation schedule.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle.
  • Ensure the shuttle is kept in optimal condition through regular cleaning and refueling.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Report any operational issues to the Site Supervisor promptly.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and DMV verification.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • Strong customer service abilities with a calm demeanor in conflict situations.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work independently while following established guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills and technical capabilities.
Experience Requirements
  • At least one year of driving experience.
  • Experience with commercial passenger vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with P endorsement.
  • Current DOT Medical Certificate.
