Job Title: Diesel Technician Mechanic

Job Summary:

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team in Cranberry Township, PA. As a Diesel Technician Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support.
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot issues.
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
  • Coach and mentor other technicians to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines, including routine maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • All other certifications required by location.

  • Competitive hourly pay rate.
  • Quarterly bonus up to $500.
  • Sign-on bonus up to $5,000.
  • Yearly tool allowance.
  • Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off.
  • First shift hours, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm.
