Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at USG Corporation. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Work safely as a top priority by adhering to our accident prevention policies and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Electrical System Maintenance: Safely install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components within our manufacturing plant.
- Motor Control Systems: Maintain, test, and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Develop a skill set to troubleshoot advanced control systems and instrumentation equipment, including PLC controls.
- Wiring Schematics: Interpret and use wiring schematics to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system operation.
- Electrical Test Equipment: Operate electrical test equipment inherent to the job.
- Code Compliance: Know and understand NEC codes, NFPA-70E, and practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a team safely to complete reliability tasks involving precision maintenance skill sets, including critical equipment as part of RPM, NRM projects, M&R projects.
- Plant Work Order System: Understand and utilize our plant work order system.
- Electrical Experience: Minimum electrical level 4+ experience required.
- Technical Skills: Must have the desired technical skills to safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Possess basic mechanical maintenance skills.
- Task Interpretation: Ability to interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills needed to complete safety training and review work-related information.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate equipment as needed, including forklifts, etc.
- Hand Tool Familiarity: Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them.
- Collaboration: Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.
