Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Housing Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our residential facilities in Amador and Tuolumne Counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facilities are in good working condition.
  • Travel between counties to perform necessary upkeep, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct general construction and maintenance on entire facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and appliances to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain grounds and landscaping around facilities.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic and mechanical controls.
  • Provide accurate and complete documentation of work performed.
Requirements
  • Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Construction or building-related experience, including rough/finish carpentry and basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Ability to operate a variety of mechanical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to identify facilities equipment and systems that require preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to perform duties and adapt to flexible work hours as needed.
  • General understanding of HUD quality inspections of housing facilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate job records and files.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions

The position requires working in an inside and outside environment, with exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness. The position may also require travel to various locations for agency meetings and events.

The position requires that employer-provided personal protective equipment always be worn and all safety requirements be complied with daily.
