Position Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations at a technical level that does not require constant oversight. This role involves performing a range of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to deliver prescribed sonographic assessments for diagnostic imaging. The technologist will also be accountable for specific areas or procedures as needed and will carry out related tasks as assigned, adhering to our mission, values, and service standards.

Qualifications:
  • Required Education: Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography that qualifies for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Preferred Certifications: ARDMS registry in fetal echocardiography; Certification in Nuchal translucency (NT) from the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) or Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF).
  • Certifications: Registered or registry-eligible in OB-Gyn and Abdominal Sonography with ARDMS or ARRT.
  • Additional Skills: The candidate must be proficient in operating ultrasound machinery, assessing images, and managing patient mobility. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to respond to emergencies, adaptability in stressful situations, and effective communication skills. Familiarity with ultrasound equipment and computer systems is essential.
