Premise Health is a leading direct healthcare provider seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Findlay, OH.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and performing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients and record information on their charts
  • Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination
  • Clean and sterilize instruments
  • Inventory and order medical supplies and materials
  • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
  • Give injections or treatments and perform routine laboratory tests
  • Schedule appointments and make follow-up phone calls to patients
  • Perform administrative tasks, complete client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provide assistance at the front desk
  • Key data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records

Requirements:

  • National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on externship completed and passed
  • CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification must include hands-on evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor
  • State Lab Certificate (NV only)
  • CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
  • Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
