About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery Specialist to join our team at Serco. This is an exciting opportunity to work on FEMA Public Assistance initiatives and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by disasters.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide expert support to state, tribal, territorial, local governments, and private non-profits. You will be responsible for deploying to various locations within Zone 2, which includes Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in various disciplines, including accountants, appraisers, archaeologists, architectural historians, biologists, commercial property insurance specialists, construction inspectors, CPAs, database developers, ecologists, engineers, environmental planners, estimators, financial analysts, floodplain managers, general planners, geologists, graphic artists, health scientists, historic architects, horticulturalists, hydrologists, industrial hygienists, managers, technical writers, water quality specialists, and wetlands specialists.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office skills and ability to work independently, in a team environment, and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines.
  • Deploy to any location in Zone 2 with 24-48 hour notice.
Requirements
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) experience or relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree or appropriate years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certification may be required/preferred, depending on the LCAT.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to deploy to any location in Zone 2 with a 24-48 hour notice.
  • Must be comfortable and experienced using a Smart Phone.
  • The ability to go on 6–12-month deployments at a minimum.
  • Sound technical knowledge base of discipline's standard concepts, principles, and techniques.
Salary

$93,600.00 - $208,000.00 per year.
