Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers to promote patient-centered care.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and measure medications.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy systems and technology.
