Job SummaryWe are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic students to join our team as Lobo Ambassadors. As a Lobo Ambassador, you will serve as a guide and mentor to incoming students, exemplifying the Lobo Experience and promoting a positive and inclusive campus community.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Office of New Student Programs with the management and implementation of programming, including NSO, Sully Showcase, Campus Tours, and other orientation/retention related activities.
- Act as a guide for new students and families, introducing them to their academic departments and orchestrating icebreakers and community building activities during the semester.
- Address questions and concerns from students in a professional manner, attending regular meetings and helping in planning events.
- Volunteer for university and community efforts to improve the culture and quality of life locally.
- Establish priorities for your time, including academic commitments, Lobo Ambassador commitments, extracurricular activities, and volunteer activities.
- Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the Spring and Fall semesters of the academic year.
- Able to work events of recruitment, retention, and other occasions needed by the university.
- Attend all training and mandatory meeting events or assigned functions and be consistent in attendance and responsibilities.
- Have no major current or pending disciplinary sanctions.
- Maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA per year.
- Be in good standing with the University.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Be respectful and supportive of their group leaders.
- Sign and comply with the Lobo Ambassador Contract.
- Previous experience as an Ambassador, Pack Leader, Freshman Leadership Program (FLP) Student, or Resident Assistant (RA).
- Able to work during the summer term for new student events.
