Job Summary:We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our hand team, providing outstanding care to patients in outpatient settings and demonstrating proficiency in the operating room and ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, current licensure in Iowa, and certification in a specialty area. Experience working with orthopedic patients and excellent communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional patient care, perform diagnostic testing, and prescribe medications under a collaborative practice agreement.
- Collaborate with a team, provide cross-coverage, and supervise patient care.
- Consult with other care team members, use judgment to apply clinical information, and influence others to adopt best practices.
- Complete patient medical records, reports, and forms, and participate in performance improvement committees.
- Provide health education to patients and medical education to health professions students and residents.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Iowa.
- Current certification in a specialty area.
- 1-3 years of patient care experience, preferably in orthopedic settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with work injury patients.
- Experience working in an orthopedic setting.
