The Psychologist III role at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is designed for a seasoned professional committed to providing culturally sensitive mental health support. This position entails delivering counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups, alongside conducting outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Counseling Services: Deliver comprehensive mental health counseling and crisis intervention.
2. Outreach and Education: Facilitate presentations for students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health resources and professional development topics.
3. Administrative Duties: Ensure timely documentation of counseling services in compliance with state licensure requirements and institutional policies.
4. Supervision and Training: Provide mentorship and supervision to interns and early-career professionals, including reviewing recorded sessions and case discussions.
5. Collaboration: Engage with faculty, staff, and families to offer consultation and support.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or an equivalent degree recognized by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP).
- Minimum of five years of full-time post-licensure experience in a relevant setting, such as a university counseling center.
Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing education and professional growth activities to maintain expertise in the field.
