Laborer - Communications Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Laborer to join our team at Primoris. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cable and fiber optic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction Activities: Assist in the construction of underground telecommunications cable and fiber optic systems, including digging holes and trenches, and operating heavy equipment.
  • Telecommunications Installation: Install and maintain underground telecommunications cable and fiber optic systems, including flagging traffic and setting up safety perimeters.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various types of trucks and equipment, including cars, trucks, backhoes, and trenchers.
  • Material Transportation: Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and employees to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Climb into and out of equipment, operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery, and perform repetitive motion with hands, wrists, feet, head, and shoulders.
  • Environmental Conditions: Work outdoors in a diverse environment, including congested and remote areas, and work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time.
  • Physical Abilities: Lift and carry up to 75+ pounds, reach, bend, and stoop while performing work, and maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects.
