Atrium Village is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities- Administer basic nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly assess residents and respond according to nursing standards of practice.
- Plan and implement resident care according to care plans.
- Evaluate residents on an ongoing basis to ensure needs are met and care planned properly.
- Observe resident, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify physician of resident's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Document interventions and resident/family education.
- Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal ranges and assess condition of resident.
- Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Supervise C.N.A.s. Registered nurse, LPN or RN, will supervise all nursing staff. Appropriately handle all employee-related issues within scope of authority.
- Administer medication according to doctor's order and established policy and procedure.
- Conduct narcotics counts and maintain emergency kits/EDKs.
- Follow Admission, Discharge and Transfer procedures.
- Communicate appropriately and completely with physicians and do appropriate documentation in regards to doctor's orders.
- Effectively handle resident and family complaints and requests.
- LPN or RN must have successfully completed Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse program and be licensed in the State of Iowa.
