Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Tutwiler Correctional Facility in Wetumpka, AL. As a Registered Nurse with YesCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility, including continuous CPR until properly relieved.
• Administer and document medications on the Medication Administration Record, and document all nursing care provided.
• Perform histories and physicals on inmates, assess patient health status, and refer to appropriate level of healthcare provider.
• Physically assist Physician in patient examinations and treatments, and implement and follow up on Physician/Dentist verbal and written orders.
• Teach healthcare information to patients and correctional staff, collect samples, specimens, and cultures per Physician orders.
• Adhere to safety and security policies, participate in disaster drills, and follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
• Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy, follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required, and complete other duties as assigned by management.
