Premium Bartender

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Premium Bartender to join our team at Churchill Downs. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve beverages to guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Set up assigned bars, requisition and stock all necessary supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, takes and processes orders for drinks, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes.
• Checks guests for proper identification, detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops, and secures bank.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards and keeps work area clean and organized.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
