Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA for Pine Acres in Madison

Job Summary:

Pine Acres is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA to join our team. As a COTA, you will work as part of the therapy team and under the guidance of an OT to provide occupational therapy services to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in carrying out daily activities
  • Select therapy activities to fit residents' needs and capabilities
  • Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement
  • Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function
  • Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan
  • Supervise residents' activities to ensure they are done properly
  • Report residents' progress to the OT
  • Handle administrative and clerical tasks for the therapy team

Requirements:

  • A graduate of an accredited OTA program
  • Current OTA license
  • Experience in long-term-care settings preferred
