As a Urologist at Urology of Indiana, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses related to urology. Your expertise will be essential in examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Key Responsibilities- Take a patient's medical history and update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments
- Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform and review test results to identify any abnormal findings
- Recommend and design a plan of treatment and address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
- Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene
- May be asked to participate in the development of policies and procedures
- Hold a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) and a valid license to practice medicine (Urology)
- Have completed the required medical training and residency programs with proven experience of quality care to patients
- 5+ years understanding and adherence to the accreditation-related policies, procedures, and protocols of the accredited practice
