Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient safety and satisfaction.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of nursing.
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact State
- Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (not required for Employee Health, Primary Care and Telemedicine departments)
- Prescriptive Authority - Texas Board of Nursing
- Narcotics License (DEA) within 6 months
- Experience working in an acute care setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
