As one of our core senses, hearing plays a vital role in our daily lives. In the Air Force, Airmen are constantly exposed to noise that can cause complex medical, physical, social, and employment implications. Our team of expert Audiologists utilizes the latest equipment and techniques to treat and safeguard Airmen and their families.

Requirements

To join the Air Force, you must meet several requirements. These include your background, overall health, and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense, and federal law.

Minimum Education

  • Doctoral degree in audiology (AuD or PhD)
  • The certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or board certification in audiology from the American Board of Audiology (ABA)


Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in audiology
  • A current unrestricted state license
  • Completion of Officer Training School course
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and have not reached your 42nd birthday
