Job Title: Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at Gonzer Associates.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for modernizing legacy.Net and Access systems to the latest versions, as well as setting up and configuring new servers to house various applications based on current architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Migrate existing applications, including.Net applications, Microsoft Access applications, and Web Services, to new up-to-date servers.
  2. Understand and migrate IIS configurations and server settings related to the app being migrated to new up-to-date servers.
  3. Migrate existing SQL Server, Oracle, and Access databases to new up-to-date Database servers.
  4. Modify and modernize source code of applications, as required.
  5. Modify and modernize Web Services while considering the impact on their consumers.
  6. Modify and modernize SQL code.
  7. Setup and configuration of new servers, IIS sites/settings, Windows task scheduler, and all configurations related to the deployment and running of applications on appropriate servers.
  8. Work with various teams, including App Dev, BA, and EA staff.
  9. Read and understand requirement documents and make changes to systems in accordance with these requirements.
  10. Prepare and/or review technical documentation, such as system architecture designs, schemas, solution proposals, and diagrams for various systems.
  11. Follow the standards of the organization in areas of application design, accessibility, security, etc.
  12. Guide in the development of applications throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy applications written in older technologies.
  13. Develop and guide quality assurance processes, including code reviews, performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry, state, and federal standards.
  14. Identify and escalate technical risks and issues appropriately.
Requirements:
  1. 7 years of experience developing applications using C# and/or VB.Net with the.NET framework (3.0 and higher) and/or the.NET Core framework.
  2. 4 years of experience developing.Net based Web Services using C# and/or VB.Net.
  3. 5 years of experience in the configuration of the Windows server and the IIS web server application to run programs properly.
  4. 5 years of experience in deploying.Net applications and Web services in IIS web server.
  5. 4 years of experience with Windows command line tools to check connectivity to servers and other resources.
  6. 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft Access applications.
  7. 5 years of experience developing SQL in SQL Server and Oracle database systems.
  8. 3 years of experience working with Windows Task Scheduler to schedule applications to run at certain times with the necessary settings.
  9. 4 years of experience with developing applications based on provided requirement documents and experience creating documentation for existing and newly created systems.
