Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Alphanumeric Systems Inc. in Orlando, FL. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing quality control measures to prevent defects and errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Products: Examine materials and products for defects, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds, using various types of computerized and state-of-the-art non-destructive test equipment.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Control Measures: Determine the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application, and develop and implement quality control measures to prevent defects and errors.
  • Document and Report Findings: Document inspection and test results, and report findings to the Engineer and assist with technical evaluation of components to include life assessment.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Train new inspectors to ASNT standards, and provide technical and financial input on recommendations and process changes.
  • Support ISO 9001 Audits and Compliance Efforts: Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts, and ensure that the product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
