About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at NovaCare Rehabilitation in Centralia, IL. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and directing treatment for patients who require physical therapy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to determine the need for physical therapy services and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Treat patients using a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, exercise, and education.
  • Direct treatment for patients who require physical therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/Registration required to start.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients.
  • CPR certification required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
