Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Rooftop Bartender to join our team at Merchant & Trade. As a Bartender, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving drinks to our guests in a professional and courteous manner. You'll also be an advocate for the bar, creating personalized experiences and developing relationships with our guests.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve drinks to guests in a timely and professional manner
• Act as an advocate for the bar, creating personalized experiences and developing relationships with guests
• Greet and welcome guests, promptly serving them food and beverages
• Pour drinks according to specifications, receive and process orders in the POS system with accuracy
• Serve food and drinks to guests, filling orders for servers as needed
• Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including filling and cleaning ice bins, emptying trash cans, and restocking beer and wine coolers
• Follow uniform and grooming specifications, maintaining cooperative communication with support crew and management
Requirements
• 1 year of bartending experience preferred
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences
• Excellent wine and spirits knowledge, great communication and presentation skills
• Knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets and calculating bill amounts
• Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable)
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
