We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Bunge North America. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing local purchasing requests for indirect products and services, ensuring efficient procurement processes, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage local purchase requisitions for indirect products and services, ensuring compliance with defined strategies and frameworks.
- Verify purchase request quality and correct buying channel, aligning with end users on missing specifications.
- Execute local purchase requisitions, identifying and advising customers on possible modifications from original requests.
- Screen potential suppliers through a basic Request For Information/Proposal process, selecting a supplier according to defined strategy.
- Process requisitions via purchase order or purchasing card, following up on purchase orders and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
- Collaborate with local planning functions on production schedules and MRP min/max levels, ensuring local purchase requisition approvals are defined and followed.
- Manage the Procurement function at multiple sites, ensuring the use of procurement procedures by internal customers and providing assistance when necessary.
- Act as a coordinator between local stakeholders and the procurement organization, identifying, tracking, and reporting locally generated savings.
- Source and negotiate pricing for all maintenance supplies and services not covered by strategic sourcing agreements, ensuring all purchased materials and services are delivered on time to support a 24/7 plant operation.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of two years of relevant purchasing experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, with a thorough understanding of defined procurement P2P processes and local supplier market awareness.
- Basic sourcing understanding, including total Cost Ownership, Risk Management, and Savings/Benefit monitoring.
- Familiarity with the letter and spirit of the laws applicable to purchasing and supply management.
- Proficiency in SAP, with strong verbal and written communication skills and good computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
