PACE of Southwest Michigan is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support services to seniors with chronic care needs. Our unique model of care is centered around the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors to be served in their homes and communities whenever possible.

We are seeking an Activities Director to join our team As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning therapeutic and recreational activities for our program participants, catering to their functional and cognitive needs. You will work under the direct supervision of the Day Center Supervisor or their designee, while also applying advanced knowledge and skills in recreational activities independently.

Job Summary:
• Develop specific therapeutic programs to include recreational and social activities across the cognitive and functional continuum to promote and maintain the physical, mental, and social well-being of participants
• Conduct an initial assessment and scheduled reassessment of all participants
• Communicate participant changes with Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) members
• Plan and provide both group and individual activities, including community outings and special events
• Create monthly and daily calendars informing participants and staff of planned activities
• Participate as a member of the IDT
• Active participation in the quality improvement process

Requirements:
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for the frail and elderly population is required
• Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is strongly preferred
• High school diploma or GED required

Estimated Salary Range:$50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
