With a clear succession plan in place, this position also provides the potential for a high-performing individual to progress into a management role within Continuous Improvement.

POSITION

This role reports directly to a member of Hixson's Board of Directors and functions as an internal consultant for Continuous Improvement, collaborating closely with management and various departments to achieve objectives aligned with the business strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating annual quality planning sessions with company leadership.
  • Leading multiple Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Overseeing corporate performance metrics systems and processes.
  • Educating and coaching Hixson associates on Continuous Improvement concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Conducting ongoing research into best practices and trends in Continuous Improvement.
  • Promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement at all levels within and outside the organization.

Occasional travel may be required to attend training sessions and conferences related to Continuous Improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant leadership experience in Continuous Improvement or a similar professional capacity is required; experience applying Continuous Improvement concepts in a Knowledge Work environment is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a STEM discipline is required.
  • Strong analytical capabilities; experience in data collection and analysis is preferred, including statistical significance testing (e.g., Chi Square, ANOVA, T-Test) using statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS or similar), with the ability to design and manage metrics systems and reporting.
  • Exceptional skills in building and maintaining trust and credibility with associates at all levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-sufficient, a self-starter, and effectively manage time and priorities with minimal supervision.
