Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, blood banking, and urinalysis, in accordance with established protocols.
- Collect, prepare, and package specimens for reference lab testing.
- Maintain accurate records of tests and results, adhering to departmental procedures and time frames.
- Assist in the phlebotomy department as needed, performing venipuncture on all patient populations.
- Alert supervisor to any problems or issues that arise during the shift.
- Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technician by the NYS Department of Education.
- Current Registration Certificate issued by the Division of Professional Licensing Services from the NYS Department of Education.
- BLS Certification.
- Generalist experience in chemistry, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis, serology, phlebotomy, and limited microbiology.
