Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Surveyor Supervisor to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona. As a key member of our Public Health Licensing Services, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and overseeing the issuing of licenses to licensed facilities and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with or determine the issuing of licenses to licensed facilities and providers, maintaining current licenses by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Conduct initial and annual recertification/compliance inspections of healthcare institutions regulated by the Department to determine compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee and/or review quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data.
  • Assist with or conduct advanced-level investigations of the operation of a licensed facility or provider upon receiving a complaint or of an unlicensed facility.
  • Correspond with the regulated community or with regulatory bodies, responds to technical questions from licensees, develops standards, and participates in rulemaking.
  • Perform, assist or reviews detailed investigative or inspection reports, statements of deficiencies, and correspondence regarding changes in the status of a licensee's license, or other types of legal orders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a surveyor/compliance officer or in management or project management.
  • Professional license to practice in the State of AZ or proof of eligibility for reciprocity of an out-of-state license.
  • Valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S. or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days after beginning employment.
