Job Summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Remington Transitional Care of Richardson. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols and company policies.
  • Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects and report to the charge nurse.
  • Take and record vital signs before administering medication that may affect or alter them.
  • Document reasons why prescribed medications are not administered.
  • Prepare and administer regularly prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
  • Good standing in the state registry.
  • One year of previous healthcare experience (preferable).
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Universal Precautions and the Blood Borne Pathogen rules.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, and balancing for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
