Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Fire Technology Adjunct Instructor to join our team at College of the Canyons. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of fire safety professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Teach fire technology courses to students at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure students meet course objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Fire Technology.
  • OR- Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
  • OR- Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
