Christie Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Ultrasonographer to oversee ultrasound operations within our esteemed Radiology department. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing medical conditions.
• Support the Radiologist during specialized procedures, including biopsies and fluid aspirations.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and protocols throughout all procedures.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Evaluate patient history and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Mentor and train new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Act as a communication bridge between radiologists, management, and ultrasound staff regarding procedural updates and changes.
• Assist in the management of workflow and resource materials specific to ultrasound services.
• Lead efforts in achieving and maintaining accreditation standards for ultrasound practices.
• Participate in inventory management and assist in scheduling team members.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound training program.
• Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required, with a preference for Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), and Vascular (RVT) certifications.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, and walking.
• Work is conducted in an outpatient clinical setting.
