Your Role:
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care within your assigned unit, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will execute all technical aspects of nursing care according to the established policies and procedures of AdventHealth Ocala. You will be responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and guiding the activities of ancillary staff, potentially serving as the charge nurse. You will assist physicians within the nursing unit.
Your Contributions to the Team:
· Conduct comprehensive assessments and analyze the health status of patients in your assigned nursing unit. Ensure timely completion of assessments for all admitted patients, performing ongoing evaluations and documenting findings according to established policies. Communicate significant findings to the appropriate healthcare team members and initiate discharge planning during the initial assessment.
· Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans based on assessment data, updating these plans as necessary.
· Direct and coordinate patient care activities on your assigned unit to ensure high-quality care delivery. Communicate care plans to other healthcare team members through daily meetings and shift reports. Guide team members in accordance with their scope of practice and document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and follow-ups. Implement physician orders and provide patient education tailored to assessed needs.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Graduate from an accredited nursing program
· Current RN License in Florida
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
