As an essential member of our front-of-house team, you will serve as a communication and seating specialist, ensuring that every guest's expectations are met and that their experience is enjoyable. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will allow you to engage with guests and promote the AEG brand effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ready for your shift in the appropriate uniform.

• Safeguard the business and guests by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies.

• Greet and welcome guests warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.

• Acquire knowledge of the menu, seating arrangements, restaurant history, policies, and management team.

• Inform guests about daily specials and any updates to the menu.

• Make genuine recommendations based on your understanding of guests' preferences.

• Respond to inquiries regarding our food, beverages, and other services offered.

• Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly and safely when necessary.

• Complete side work at the beginning, during, and end of each shift as assigned.

• Maintain cleanliness in all areas at all times.

• Address requests from guests promptly and courteously.

• Be prepared to assist fellow servers as needed.

• Help with clearing and resetting tables as required.

• Thank guests for their visit and encourage them to return.

• Be available to step in as needed to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, as directed by management.

• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
This role involves representing the company in addressing complaints and resolving issues. As a Host/Hostess, you will be expected to engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction, taking initiative and creativity in resolving challenges, and involving a supervisor only when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in a serving role is advantageous.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Demonstrates outstanding customer service abilities.

• Works well in a collaborative team environment.

• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of dining room operations and service protocols is required.

• Exhibits strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and guests efficiently.

• Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.

• Reliable transportation to and from work is necessary.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and distances.
  • Must be able to kneel and stoop as required by the job.
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs; occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
